Martina McAfee

Martina McAfee
Director and Founder

Be Unique Drama School was founded in 2017 by Martina, a BA Honours Drama graduate from Queen’s University Belfast. Martina from Ballymoney is extremely passionate about bringing her love of drama and dance to the younger generation and has extensive experience in leading drama workshops for children from the ages of 3 – 16 years, in various locations across Northern Ireland. Martina has completed numerous training programmes on drama facilitation and now feels very lucky to be in the position to share the knowledge and skills she has acquired within the realms of her own company. She has also been involved in many productions, both onstage and offstage, as an actress in productions such as ‘Jake’s Women’, stage manager in productions such as ‘Deep Blue Sea’, choreographer in local amateur children’s productions and director of ‘Remembrance’ by Graham Reid, which was performed in both Belfast and the North Coast. Martina was credited ‘Best Supporting Actress’ in the Student Theatre Awards during her time at Queen’s. Martina, alongside a brilliant team, aim to deliver drama and dance workshops of the very highest quality to the children involved in the Be Unique experience.

Megan Keenan

Megan Keenan
Drama Facilitator

Be Unique Drama School is very proud to have Megan in our team, a drama facilitator whose knowledge and expertise know no bounds! Megan began acting at a very young age and through her love of amateur dramatics, got a part in a UTV Drama at the age of 9. As she grew older, Megan found secondary school quite challenging as she had been diagnosed with dyslexia but continued acting throughout these years and thrived in creative subjects. Megan was accepted onto the Drama and Performing Arts course at Tower Street Theatre where she graduated with triple distinction stars, allowing her to progress to study Drama at Ulster University Magee. Here, she honed her skills as a theatre maker and has been facilitating drama and story-telling since her graduation in 2015. In recent years, Megan has received qualifications in British Sign Language and Mindfulness; two things she is very passionate about. Megan is very bubbly, energetic and is passionate about passing on her love of story-telling and drama to children. She looks forward to the amazing adventures to come with Be Unique.
